THE LAKES

We named this tract “The Land Between the Lakes” because of its frontage on Fields Pond and Brewer Lake with water frontage of 1,765 and 1,250 +/- feet respectively.

Fields Pond is a lightly developed 182+/- acre pond with depths up to 31 feet. This is considered a warm water fishery. The cooperative perch and pickerel in this pond make it the perfect place to take kids fishing. The smaller size of this pond is ideal for the paddler of canoes and kayaks. Most of the dry frontage on this pond is owned by this property of Maine Audubon.

Brewer Lake is a much larger water body at 881 +/- acres. The water quality and depth of 48 +/- feet it sustains both warm water and a landlocked salmon fishery. A good quality boat landing on this lake can support larger watercraft for recreation.

THE REGION

Orrington is located in central Penobscot County near its boundary with Hancock County. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are located only 40 +/- miles east of the land. The two cities of Bangor and Brewer have all the services and shopping you could want. One of the state's largest hospitals, a new civic center, casino, hundreds of local eateries, dozens of nearby lakes and ponds, golf courses, the Penobscot River and more.
